Not odd at all.... my company and therefore my truck plows commercially

I'm a Boss plow guy, but that's a nice looking Fisher! You'll love the way the ford pushes.... I grew up in GM country but these Fords put the GM trucks to shame to be honest.

Took it into the dealer for an oil change. Now if I could just fine some time to give it a good scrubbing. Still sporting a ton of bugs on the front from the last trip.....

New tires,

Also, lNew fuel filter, changed my oil, did it myself, enjoyed taking care of it without someone looking at their computer screen and telling me how many things should have been changed, I did it myself for less, much less!

Gonna load it up tonight and get it ready for a trip out to the deer lease. Going to work it hard the next couple days!

Just got back from a 7 day camping trip to just south of Dover, DE. First long pull and am thoroughly impressed with how easy the tow was. 7 hours each way including I-95 in Philadelphia which is stop and go bumper to bumper! On the way home my wife asked if I was tired of riding...I said heck no! This truck makes pulling so effortless! This picture is on the way down. I estimate GCW of about 17,500 - 18,000#. Truck has 2 stacked rows of wood, 4 - 1/10 scale RC's and gear, 2 mountain bikes, small air compressor, fridge with wired inverter, 32 gallon barker tote plus a kayak trailer for towing with my bike. Got just about 11.5 mpg going there and only 9 on the way back! Was one heck of a head wind today...still maintained cruise set at 68 most of the way.

Truck did GREAT at the lease. Flat towed my Jeep just great too! Now it's time to get everything brushed up and ready for a 10 day RV trip. It's going to be our longest yet, so I want to make sure all my equipment is up to the task and ready to go!

Yellowstone trip

Just returned from Yellowstone Park in our 2006 Chevy Colorado towing the 3,500# travel trailer for an actual GCVW of 8,160#. Now that might not seem to be important to you Duramax and Power Stroke fans, but note that was done in an 11 year old truck with a with a rebuilt 5-cylinder engine, and I got 16 MPG on both legs of the trip. Happy camper!

Installed a Peragon bed cover. Easy install, great directions and very clean fit and finish.

Gave it a good scrubbing along with the DW's CR-V. Put some conditioner on the Bak-Flip VP bed cover as well as it was looking a little bit dry.

New Michelin wiper blades, cranked up the Roadmaster Active Suspension a couple turns, clean my Roush cold air intake filter, 50psi in the tires and a fresh tank of premium... Goin' towing!

The claims of more power and better fuel economy by throttle body spacer makers are too good to be true, or are they? Let's find out.

Probably depends on the truck. The research I've done generally suggests it's a waste of money, but if it's part of a bigger set of performance upgrades (tune, exhaust, CAI) the spacer *might* be of some benefit.

I'd want to see a dyno run on a stock truck, then with the spacer, and not too surprisingly, those are very hard to locate or trust.

Did you get one?

The TB spacer was not too expensive and pretty easy to install. I already have a cold air intake, so maybe together... Too soon to tell for sure if any difference. Will report when there is something to report, either way.
