You'll notice a difference in the cab Bob with the filter. One of the 1st mods I did to both my '14 & '16 Rams. I used a Dremel.

So I loaded up a sharp blade in my utility knife and went to work. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't that hard. Would've been easier with a hot knife, but I didn't have one and didn't want to buy one.

I cut the hole and installed the filter and cover in my driveway while my son rode his bike around. Hopefully this will help with dust and odors in my truck (LOTS of dust from driving around the deer lease), and hopefully keep the condenser clean and happy.

HIGHLY recommended for anyone with a Ram truck that was not optioned with cabin air filter.
I did this same install on my RAM in January and it definitely made an improvement in air quality. I agree is was a pain to cut the hole but certainly a worthwhile upgrade....

Yeah, I had the Dremel Tool thought just after I started the job, but I just didn't feel like digging it out. Would've been quicker for sure. Even with the time to dig it out, find and insert the right head, dig out the extension cord and cut the hole. Ah well, knowing me, I would've slipped and buggerd the whole works! LOL!

It's been in less than 12 hours and I already notice a difference. I have allergy and other respiratory problems, so it was really a needed upgrade. The instigator was my wife's Acadia needed a new filter, so I got a bug up my a$$ to fix mine.

Took the rig out today and adjusted the equalizer hitch, the dealer didn't do **** with it and I knew it wasn't right so finally had time to do it right today. Man what a difference!!! the ride quality, braking performance, everything is amazing now. Ended up having to flip the shank and raise the ball an inch and add another washer, near perfect level all the way through the rig, eliminated this bounce I would get when the road got bumpy. Very happy I finally took care of it!

Reduced the rear tire pressure from 80 to 65. I should have done this a couple of weeks ago after arriving back at my home base. The hard ride not towing with 80 psi in the rears finally got to me.

We tow almost every weekend so I don't usually lower the pressures until after towing season. But, dropping the rears down to 50 psi makes such a difference in the ride quality of my ram.

Is it gravity fed? That's how I did mine. Wired a solenoid to one of the upfitter switches and it works great

Yes but, we did not use a selonoid. We gave a decent trial fill and so far have had no leaks. We left enough supply hose in case we need to add one or even a pump but, so far so good.

What did I do to my tow vehicle today?

Held 'er wide open and passed all the 80+ year olds driving Buicks 20km/h under the speed limit.

I love driving a tuned truck!

On a side note, I've done lots if drag racing over the years. First with a Nova and then with a Corvette. But the most fun I've ever had was with a highly modded 2001 Cummins Ram. Nothing more satisfying than beating all of these drag cars with a 7000# truck.

Not today but Friday evening I installed a new Magnaflow 4" exhaust. Very impressed with how quite it is I was really expecting a much more aggressive sound considering how much smaller the new muffler is.

Applied the over the air update to the UConnect head unit in my RAM last night. Everything still works as expected so that's a plus...
