During the past two weeks
4 new tires
front pads and rotors
front upper control arms
front lower ball joints
Took it for alignment and was advised that it needs idler and pitman arms (on order) plus stabilizer links.

Just put some new tires on my TV. After looking at Tire Rack and some other sites and being disappointed with my Michelin OE tires, I opted for Big O tires with 10 plies and E rating. Had a set of Big Os on our Camry for 54,000+ miles and decided to try them on the TV as the brand performed pretty well for me.

That's quite a difference between the 2. Good call on the change/upgrade

I am not really a fan of the black plastic running boards so........I was checking out side steps on the old internet.

I found these and thought not too bad looking. They were listed at $345 plus taxes and whatever the bracket kit cost. Now remember that I am in BC Canada.

I thought I would see if my local parts store carried these. He says yep we can get them. I ask how much. I figured if they were in the $500 neighborhood I would take the plunge.

Ok here is the punch line. Now remember I get a pretty good price because I do a lot of business there. So here is the surprise..............$333 out the door, taxes and bracket kit.
I hear ya on the north of the border price difference Those are pretty slick, good job.

You'll be quite pleased with how the Frontier tows. I used it for our 5,000 lb 21 footer and it handled it well. The only thing you might want is something for the rear springs, I found them to be quite soft. I had a '12 SV crew cab long bed.

Set up WDH and trip to CAT scales

I set up the WDH on my 2012 GMC Sierra 1500. Then took the whole rig to the local CAT scale. 3 weighs totaling $14.50. 1st time doing anything like that, but was a big eye opener. Everything looked good, but being too heavy on the tongue puts me over my TV GWR. All other numbers look good. I learned I need to load the trailer better. I have a month and a half to get that right before my trip to California.

Getting it towed to get my STC fittings replaced in the high pressure oil pump. Luckily my camping buddy picked up my trailer and took it to the CG. Another friend will be doing the repairs to the truck at his shop. Good times [emoji15]
Good thing you have friends with a solution and they were close by.
Sorry to hear your holiday got off to a bumpy start.

Always like to hear about weigh ins. No guessing, just the hard truths. I like that.

I had the exhaust manifolds on my RAM replaced last year under warranty too. Common problem, I guess.

leather seats torn

My leather seats are torn and have holes. I thought I would try and repair them the best I could before I spent 300.00 on decent covers. I don't care that much how they turn out as long as they don't keep getting worse. I have the passenger seat done.

Drove it 10 miles to the Portal Overlook Trail trailhead here in Moab, walked most of the way UP the trail, and watched the brave jeep drivers climbing up the rock wall on the opposite side of the Colorado river from my viewpoint.

Thanks. I was very fortunate that it happened when and where it did. Now I need to get my truck back and go get my camper that I had to leave at the CG.
