Installed the hitch and wiring in the new truck. Tip for you adding a 5th wheel to a GM 2500/3500, order the long base rails, all the bolts except two are done through the wheel well, save a lot of time.

Yesterday I washed off the pollen and dust, with water only and a soft brush. Shammied off to a nice shine. With the wax job I did last week, water still beads nicely on the finish.

I also dropped the rear suspension airbag pressure from towing PSI (30#) down to non-towing pressure (5#). Dropped the rear tires from 44# to 40#. Now I'll have a softer ride, which will be a nice change. I probably won't be towing again for months.

Great points. I opted for the B&W so no rails but this would have been helpful if I went that route.

Got the oil changed yesterday, The repair shop said that I did not need to change it. It was the cleanest oil he has ever seen from a diesel
Told it has been sitting all winter, will be changing it.
But that was nice to hear!

Had to stretch her legs a little. She's been sitting in the garage for 2 weeks. Since DW's new car rides nice and smooth, she's not a fan of the truck so it does more sitting than driving lately.

It felt good to be in my truck again.

Installed new front sway bar end links and rotated the tires. Also noticed that I have only put about 4K miles on it in the past year.

Small stuff. Pulled TT out of its garage and set it up behind the car garage were I have installed 30 amp service. Disconnected the rig from the truck so I can have it serviced tomorrow, oil change, oil, fuel and (if needed) air cleaner filters. I was going to wash it, but it's snowing and we have five miles of dirt/mud road to traverse tomorrow.

Finally had a chance to install the AVS aeroshield and do a carbon fiber overlay on the front bow tie after washing the beast.

First try for the overlay turned out pretty good, but not perfect. I didn't buy a precut sticker, cut my own.

Now to do the same with the rear bow tie....

well I swapped out the headlights to put in blacked out housings to match the truck. I completely detailed, washed, clayed, buffed, waxed, full interior detail (pics in the garage do not do the full exterior detail any justice!).

I used it to run a few errands yesterday. It needed driving after a week of not moving.

Installed P3 brake controller, picking up new Jay Feather 25BH tomorrow.

I guess these controllers are powered at all times and go off automatically when no movement is present?

Last week we had the timing belt, serpentine belt and water pump replaced for maintenance (manufacturer recommends the t/belt every 9 years). The dealer also replaced the radiator for free because the technician poked a hole in it. Then this week we discovered a bad oil leak after making a 200 mile road trip. Took it back to the dealer Monday and picked it up today. They had to replace the factory transmission oil cooler. I sure hope the trans didn't loose enough fluid to cause damage. They didn't charge me anything for this subsequent repair, but I was a bit disappointed that they didn't power wash the underside of the truck. I'll have to make another call and trip to the dealer to get that done. Happy though that it's not leaking now.

Topped off the fuel before grabbing the trailer from storage. This will be my first tow using 89 octane fuel instead of 87 (as recommended in the manual, I've got a few tanks of daily driving, and so far it's a definite improvement). So far, I can tell it tows better; typically I get a down-shift on one particular hill, and last night the truck didn't down-shift. That's a good sign in my mind, and I look forward to seeing how she does this weekend out on the road. I'm really trying hard not to have an observational bias (placebo affect) but this weekend I'm going somewhere I've never been before, so I won't be able to directly compare how the truck does on the same route.

Had a new steering wheel put in yesterday because it was worn very badly.
The new one is cracked and sharp and cuts my hands. Replacement has been ordered by the dealer,
