Would you tow a 29reks with Yukon Denalli?

I want some opinions on towing a 29REKS. I will not be towing much...probably 250 miles and pretty much parking it for a couple of months at a campground. I will not be traveling out west in the mountains. I have a Yukon Denalli 6.2L that has a towing capacity of 8100 lbs and a F150 w towing pkg. that is rated to tow 9100 lbs. Could I tow this camper with either vehicle if I keep the trailer light? Thanks in advance.

Keeping the trailer light, yeah- I'd do it with either. Just take it easy because it's not going to be much fun with that length and weight. What mill and gear ratio is in the F150? The Denali? Either of those would move it fine- might work them a bit though. For such a short trip I wouldn't panic too much. You're going to be heavy on the hitch- so depending on the load in the truck, watch your rear axle weight.

Welcome! You should be okay with either, but as the others have noted, take it easy and you should be fine. We're wrapping up a ~3000 mile trip with a Tundra and 29REKS and I couldn't be happier with the performance of the truck and trailer - I have 10200 tow capacity, and haven't pushed hard, but have maintained an average 60mph on the Interstates (plenty fast enough IMHO).

A little off topic, but we LOVE the TT! Once the slides are out the living space is plenty big enough for the two of us and a small dog. We met up with friends that have a 38' class A, and our living space was comparable. The only drawback is the bedroom as it's a tight fit, but all we're using it for is sleep so not a big deal.
