Wow looks like a great solution
I posted this in the wrong heading earlier. This is where I should have posted it. I
was just checking these out online, the TIMBRENS. These look like they would work great. Anybody install these. How did they work, how do you like them. Thinking of getting them for my F250. http://timbren.com/ses-kit-lookup/

I put a set on my 1500 when I towed the TT with it. They clear the axle by about 1.5" when unloaded so they do not affect the ride. They help keep the truck level when loaded, the Timbrens come in contact with the axle. They work well, but of course are not adjustable like air bags. They still come in handy when I carry heavy loads in that truck which I use for work. Of course they do not increase the payload or GVWR of any vehicle.

Hmmm.... I just checked the link you provided and didn't see any listing for a Ford Expedition. I see the kits for Explorer and Flex, but no Expedition.
Wonder why that is?

I've never used them but I have heard good things about them. If you are having trouble with sagging from a heavy 5er, they will likely do just fine. It seems to me that they would provide a rougher ride than airbags, but people seem to like them just fine.

I have them on my F350. As stated, they do not come into play until the trailer is on the hitch.

So did you remove the bumper for the 'overload' springs when installing the TIMBRENS?
In my '06 F350 the factory standard 'overload' springs are about an inch away from the bumper and do not contact the bumper until the truck is loaded with a trailer.

These look like they might be a good option for us. I hear we might need a little help with the rear suspension of our Tundra for our the TT that is coming. Hoping some others chime in on if these are a good option.

I have them on my Ram 2500. They work great. They sit 1" above the rear axle. My 5ers pin is 1800lbs. It drops the rear of the truck 2". With the Timbrens it drops just over 1". I mainly bought the Timbrens for stability. They give the truck a more solid feel when towing. I have towed without them and the basic ride is the same. Only difference with them is the trucks corners flatter.
The nice thing about Timbrens is there's no airing up or down. If you have bags then after unhitching you need to air down. Then air up before hitching up. If you don't have an on board compressor then you need to pack a small one or use a bicycle pump. If you go the compressor route then you double the price of the Timbrens. You do gain load adjustment with bags though. Not sure if the ride while towing would be better or not with bags.

I have Timbrens on my F-250. I got them online and paid $168, I just can't remember who I bought them from. [2 years ago]. I installed them myself and it took about an hour with no removal of the rear tires or jacking up the truck. Actually, removal of the factory bumpstops [which I saved] took longer than installing the Timbrens. There are a lot of rear enhancement products out there and I think different situations call for different products. Personally, I think the Timbrens work very well with a WDH, but if I was towing a 5th wheel, I'd really consider air bags. I'll try and find out where I bought them.

Yes, they just unscrew and the timbrens goes in the same place.

I purchased mine on Amazon and the price today for an F-250 is $169.19. Go to the Timbren SES website to get part #'s and check around. Not sure if you can beat Amazon's prices though.

I chose these instead of the Timbrens; it was not an easy choice, I really liked the Timbrens:

They are a passive system much like the Timbrens, but there is some adjustability. Also, these improve the unloaded handling of my truck a lot.

I have had Timbrens on my truck for years. They work great, zero maintenance and keeps my truck level when towing my 5'er.

After the install and after a quick WDH adjustment, you'll find it a lot easier to hook up.
