Yet Another Tire Question
The tires (Goodyear Marathons) on my 2011 Jayfeather 242 look brand new, they even have the little new nubs on them, but they were made in 2010 so I guess I should replace them before our trip half way across the country.
The present tires are 205/75/14 load range C. I really don't know what to replace them with, after hearing so many horror stories about Chinese made tires blowing off in less then a year. The problem is every trailer tire appears to be made in China. The Marathons on our horse trailers have been great, but they were made in New Zealand of all places.
Maxis tires have been recommended but they are crazy expensive up here in Canada. I have also found a Kenda tire which has a load range D and a higher speed rating or do I chance the Goodyears again.
Could I go up a size to 215/75/14 for more options. The trailer has a GVWR of 6500 pounds.
Anyone had any good experiences with a tire and would reccomend them?
Thanks for the help.
