16XRB Squeaky Floor

I've lived with the floor in my 16XRB squeaking since received in July of last year. Thought it was just wood as I've had houses that did the same so I didn't worry about it.

I happened to be underneath this past weekend with DW was inside cleaning - sure was really loud on the outside.

Felt around while she walked and located two long sheet metal screws on the backside of the fresh water tank support straps that were poking at the bottom floor. Changed them out for larger but shorter length and now she's (the camper) is so very quiet. I wonder how common this might be.

The build quality of the RV industry is crap. Thanks for pointing this out. It may help someone else out there.

We have had a squeaky floor in our 264BHW since day one. The first step you take in the trailer and the last step you take out is a nice loud squeak. Brought to the dealer to fix. Later on went to pick it up after they said they fixed it and what do you know? It still squeaks. I questioned them and they say "well it sounds better than it did before"......Then proceeded to tell me the only way to fix it properly is to take up the flooring and trim the wood that is rubbing on the frame. Supposedly they put a wedge under the floor as the "fix". Going to try to look at this myself at some point because it is driving me nuts!!
