2011 X17Z floor question

We recently purchased a new to us 2011 X17Z that seems to be in great shape. This is our first camper that doesn't require cranking to use..

Anyway, just trying to figure out what is and isn't normal. I noticed that that the outer layer of the floor from the underside(not sure what this black sheet is, hopefully someone understands what I am talking about), is well attached everywhere except around the edges.
Is that normal?? It seems "crinkled up" around the edges.

Thanks.

Do you have a photo of this that you could share? It's difficult to picture what it is you are talking about without seeing it.

I actually have a feeling its just the way they are and I'm being paranoid. As to a pic, maybe I'll bring this back in the spring, its too cold for that right now

I suspect that this is what you are referring to:

http://camping.gwebworks.com/roo%202...IKSS%20131.JPG

It is normal. AAMOF this is on a new 2013 Rockwood Roo on the dealer's lot. It is simply a crinkling of the undercoat skin that is applied to protect the underside of the flooring.

If the rain, sleet, and snow stop long enough for me to get a good look under my 17Z I will see if it is secured to the edges. I know it is wrinkled.

I really appreciate the help. Wayne, mine is actually very smooth in the areas you show in the pic. This is maybe the outer 3-4 inches and it is more detached, more like a bubble in places. It almost looks like it was glued down everywhere except the edges. Its like this front, back and both sides. I do have a feeling this is just the way they are though.

Tracy, if you get a break in the weather that would be great if you could check. If it makes you feel any better, you're not alone with rain and snow, its 10 degrees here right now, so it should all be nice and frozen, yippee.

I am going camping later today. It is above freezing at home, but I am guessing it is still below freezing in the mountains. I will look and hopefully I can get internet signal to let you know.

Sorry this took so long. I could not get logged on here from my camp. The black layer on the bottom of my camper floor is attached all the way around. There are wrinkles in it, but it is not loose all around the edges.

Sounds like you are referring to the underbelly enclosure material. The wrinkling at the edges shouldn't be an issue as long as the little critters can't get in. If there are some openings just get a can of spray foam insulation and do a little touch up.

Thanks for looking, I guess I need to keep working on this to make sure it won't be an issue.

Their aren't any openings or tears that I could see. It is attached at the actual outside edge, so its not hanging down or anything like that. From the outside edge in about 3-4" it looks like it wasn't glued, after that it's all smooth and firmly attached.

It's somewhat like the rubber roof which is also glued down it seems everywhere except the edges. The service manager at our dealer says this is normal and from other discussions I've seen on here, that would seem to be the case.

I may try and brave the cold and ice to see if I can get some pics, I know that would help a lot.

Allen

Finally got around to taking a pic of this, its not the best but you can see how the material is not attached at the edge. Just wanting to make sure this isn't a sign of problems.
