2015 x17z tire/wheel ?

does anyone know what the wheel capacity is for the stock 13 inch black and alloy wheels or know where to find out the wheel info. id like to upgrade my tires to a high capacity load range D and want to see if i could keep the same wheels or should upgrade to 14" also, is anyone familiar with task master tires? thanks

Just look at the rims there should be a sticker with info or stamped on the inside of the rim. Use the number and go to the manufacturer web site. Then you have all the specs. You usual can go up one tire size range in pressure.

I too have a x17z. The tires are rated 1610lbs load range D and from all the searching I have done there are no 13" tires with a higher capacity. The trailer will take 14" rims with 5 bolt 4.5" rims and a 205/75-r14 tires raising the tire capacity to 1700+ lbs and much closer to our 3500 lbs axle capacity

Keep in mind that doing this will not increase your cargo capacity. The limitation being your axle. Check the stamping on the axle, IIRC it's not a 3500# axle, but something like 3200#. They've changed them from year to year so best to double check.

I always ask out of curiosity, what problem are you trying to solve by doing this?

Thanks yeah I'm going to change the axle once the warranty is up for 3500 lbs. I spoke with dexter and it's really not that expensive to do so

I changed my 13" to 14" just because of the limited options with 13". If you keep the tires aired up right you shouldn't have any problems. However, I just felt safer with a 14" because i could get tires anywhere while on the road.

I have an '11 and I am pretty sure I have the 3500# axle. I checked a few years back. Now you have me wondering again.......
