Thumbs up SOLVED: 2016 x19h cargo capacity only 375 lbs?

I have been researching my first hybrid trailer purchase and family really likes the x19h and the x213. Appears locally we have missed getting the 2015s, but dealer has a 2016 x19h on the lot.

Looking at the 2015 brochure it mentions the x19h has over 1000lbs cargo carrying capacity, yet when looking at the yellow tag on the 2016 version it clearly states 375 lbs. the 2016 brochure doesn't appear available yet.

Anyone know what changed to only have 1/4 CCC over last years model??

At that limited capacity I am crossing it off my short list. Of course I am now hesitant to consider the 2016 x213 until I can confirm its capacity.

Thanks!

I assume this is a SINGLE AXLE trailer? Likely the same as the 17z 3,500# axle?

Good catch

Yup, look at that. Single axle....Did a search for the 2015 and it was/is dual axle.

Thanks for that, I clearly needed it pointed out even though I kept thinking that aligned to a single axle weight limit.... Even drove out yesterday specifically to take a pic of the sticker and didn't notice the single axle...

Well here's hoping that doesn't happen to the x213!

The 2016 x19H is twin axle, same as always. Here's a link to the product page with pics: 2016 Jay Feather X19H | Jayco, Inc.

I just looked at one of the dealers in the US and their pictures of a 2016 X19H show dual axle and a picture of the yellow sticker showing cargo as 1164 lbs.

http://www.worldwiderv.com/New-Inven...rizona-1330177

Check with your dealer, maybe the wrong sticker was applied (that would be kinda scary)

Also we have a 2014 X19H and love it. Family of 2 adults and 2 teens.

That photo looks like a X17Z model. Also the inside pictures are the X17Z. The stove on a x17Z is by the sofa ..... on a X19H the stove is by the door. Yes I definetly see the picture showing the model number but as its a close up it doesn't give any more clues so I would have to say the dealer posted the wrong model number picture.

Still looking at your dealer pictures. That is definetly a X17Z as the refrigerator is smaller than what is in the X19H and also the the X17Z stereo and cupboards are above the table and in the X19H they are above the sofa.

Hope this helps. I would call the dealer as there website is wrong.

In the "Info" section it says X19H and right below it says X17Z. Dealer best run that VIN and get it corrected. That most certainly is NOT a 19H.

Thanks everyone!!

So it appears the lettering to left of the door is incorrect!!

The link above has a fuzzy picture of it, but here it is from the other pic I took immediately after I snapped the pic of the yellow sticker. In fact it is the only hybrid they have on the lot, so I am positive, I am just not remembering improperly!

It very clearly says x19 h yet it is as mentioned a 17z trailer. the VIN on the yellow sticker and the VIN on the sales build sheet (both visible in the RCD link above) match and the build sheet which says it is a 17z. Strange.

Guess the x19 is still on my list, just not THAT one.

I will stop by this evening and get a pic that clearly shows both the yellow sticker and model lettering. Will also ask the dealer how that happened.

There are two photos to look at. The door says 19H but the manufactures listing sheet that has all the items listed and warranty info says 17Z.

There is an error somewhere.

Jayco.com, shows the 19H as a twin axle HTT.

The model on the lot is X17Z !!!
ignore the sticker by the door! (someone applied the wrong sticker)

Th X19H is LONGER, allowing you to have a 70" long sofa and a wardrobe between the dinette and the BIG fridge

70" long SOFA:

Phew, yeah, big difference. After looking/researching so many options I clearly overlooked the details that would have solved the 'mystery'. Thanks again everyone for your sharp skills and knowledge of Jayco models!!

Now I look forward to being a part of the community Once we find one that will work for the family, is labeled correctly and be able to be towed with current vehicle (2014 Jeep Geand Cherokee Overland V8 5.7L HEMI).

The effort spent now will definitely pay off once we take one home.

Was lucky enough to purchase the last 2015 X19 off the lot here in BC....layout is perfect for our needs, pulling it with a Honda Rudgeline not sure how that will work out yet? Double axle unit seems very well balanced and layed out, big fridge with seperate freezer...post more once we have been out.

Alan,
I think you will find the Honda Ridgeline pretty much maxed out by the X19H. We used to tow an X17Z with our Pilot. The 17 weighed in at 3500lb max which is 1000 lb lower than the Pilot's tow rating and we used to watch everything we carried to stay under the tow rating.
The 19H, however, is 4950lb maximum weight which is very close to your Ridgeline's 5000 lb tow rating. Bottom line -- be careful with what you pack into the trailer. Also, be mindful that the weight of anything you carry with your Ridgeline should be subtracted from your tow rating.

Happy camping!

Thanks for replying.....I new the Honda was going to be a bit of an issue but we love it as a city truck and all the other things it does really well, dogs, bikes, utility trailer, grandkids and drives like a Pilot etc plus we had a canopy installed....so it won out when it came time to pick a trailer, don't know if I will be saying that in a few months but we will see....got a headache listening to the WDH or no WDH issues on the Ridgeline forum already.

Thanks for answering back...talk soon!

Alan.
