Oh yes, our X20E had that same screwy setup. 2013 was the first year they started using the "improved" legs. I complained about it and got nowhere. Make sure to let Jayco know these are not user friendly.
What was worse for us is that we take our table outside and getting those cantilever legs through the door was a real pain. Taking the table outside used to be a sales feature. Not any more.
I replaced the legs with the older style folding legs, which were very hard to find. Not long after the table got soaked and the water pooled, causing the press board to swell. I had a co-worker who's into woodworking make me a new table top out of cedar. It's 1/3 the weight of the original table, it's water resistant, and it's stronger. I can stand on it and it does not flex.
