23B newbie questions

Just picked up my 2014 23B have it up on my land for a test run. The manual is pretty useless. A few questions, has anybody installed an power off switch for the stereo, it is pretty bright even when off? Also filled my fresh water tank but just kept runninhg out the bottom of 2 pvc tubes underneath, when i run the pump it does the same thing. Found 2 shutoff valve under the bath vanity open and turned closed them. now getting some spurting water out of faucets but no steady stream. What are those 2 shutoffs for?

Those two valves are the low point drains. You can use them to drain the fresh water system between uses. How long did you try running the water for? If the water heater is not full most of the water will go there until it is full.

As for adding a switch to the stereo. I was going to do just that, this summer, but now maybe next.

The spurting is the air woking out of the plumbing system.

The two low point drain tubes are for the hot & cold water plumbing (for winterizing, explained in manual), in some models these low point hot/cold drain tubes have a red & blue designation wrapped around them.

There should also be two separate overflow tubes for the fresh water tank (no open/close valves), and there will be a separate low point drain valve for this tank as well, normally located outside and underneath the trailer (near tank location).

The valves for the low drains are under the sink in the bathroom. Same happened to me my first trip

If your entertainment system is a Jensen, turn it on, press and hold the Volume button to adjust the LCD brightness. There are only 3 setting, low, medium, and high. Low is dim enough to put up with. It's like a night light.

Its an iRV and i installed a toggle switch on power wire in the panel above, it didn't
dim and has to consume some juice.
