I guess you had to remove and/or modify the back of the cabinet. Our cabinet is not very deep above the shelf. Was the sink plumbing or anything else in your way? Like the idea but since my x17z is only a week old I'm alittle afraid of starting cutting on it not knowing what I will find. Can do you describe what all it involved to remove and rebuild the back of the cabinet? I was disappointed not have a drawer for silverware and such so your idea is just what we need. Thanks for your post I'm just a little leery since we are so new to the x17z.

yes we were bummed that it didnt come with drawers so i needed to do this. it wasnt hard removing back panal, they were stapled so it came apart very easy. aswell as the small cross piece of wood used to hold the back panal. it opens up so much space when you remove it. as far as the plumbing you just have to measure the space to the left of the pipes, i used 2 small drawer organizers from lowes and built the drawer box to fit them, it fit perfect about 1/2 an inch from the pipe. i fastened the box with a set of nuts n bolts so i could remove it if needed.
