Any X18D Owners out there?

Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum, and new to RV'ing.

Just purchased an X18D this spring, had our first overnight this past weekend. Love the camper as far as space, ease of towing and setup goes.

I am wondering if anyone else out there has one and has any special tips / tricks I should know?

This weekend we had our refrigerator stop working, it was showing a 'n' code. I tried to reset once, per the manual, but the code returned. A few minutes later after some online research I found another reset procedure which I followed. Fortunately this worked, because a trip to the dealer was really not possible before our next trip.

Are these RV refrigerators just finicky? Should I be worried that I had an issue my first time out?

Hey mhd319871! Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your new TT!

I have not had any problems with my fridge - works every time and you should not have any error codes showing up on a regular basis and should not be having to do resets. The only things these fridges dont like is to sit unlevel running for a long period of time.

I would recommend a call to your dealer and tell him what is going on and see about getting it in sometime since you are still under warranty.

What model# is your fridge?

Fridge Model is N512UR,

This is the procedure I followed to reset it: ( I can't locate where I found this online, but I saved the procedure for future reference)

Turn system ON.
When “n” code appears:

Press and hold the MODE and TEMP SET buttons together.
Release them when a 1 appears.
The 1 should change to an 8.
Press the mode key until a 6 appears.
Stop and an E r should begin to flash.
Press the TEMP SET button until C L appears.
Press the TEMP SET button until the E r returns.

Turn system OFF.
Turn system back ON.

I am going to be down near the dealer this afternoon, will drop by to talk to them about it.

Definitely not a normal situation. A "n" code signifies "No cooling detected by the controls". The service manuals seems to indicate it is caused by:

1. Blocked ventilation
2. Unlevel operation
3. Bad cooling unit

ok, here is a newbie question. I was under the impression that I could tow with my fridge running on propane. A friend of mine said it is very dangerous to do so, and I was wondering if that might be what caused my problem the other day (maybe my pilot blew out?)
My fridge is dual mode only, AC/LP s- I have no option to run on 12Volt while on the road. Is it dangerous to tow while running on propane? I did not see anything in the manual one way or the other.

I always run mine on propane when driving.Works fine.I think some states dont want you to do it though.

Ya, as logan 262 says, some states prohibit running on propane , but it's like the speed limit not many of us obey it.

Runs just fine while on the road - the manual even says it is ok. Just shut if off when fueling or if you will be parked very unlevel for more than a few hours.

yeah, stopped by dealer today and they also stated that the fridge can operate in transit on propane. They had the deer in the headlights look when I asked them about the fridge error code though....

I'll see how it goes this weekend and bring camper in for service if fridge flakes out again.
