Anybody know what this is?

All,

Was winterizing my 2011 x23B this weekend and found this laying in the ground by the water heater.

Anybody recognize it and know where it goes?

If it helps...I may have opened the drain plug before relieving the air pressure while blowing out the lines.

I think it's a sleeve that fits into the pressure relief valve on the water heater. Mine fell out a couple of years ago and I think I just tossed it. Not sure why it's in there or if it's important. Others will chime in on this.

That is what it is. Not sure the purpose either. It slides inside the pressure relief valve.

Thread protector that came with the relief valve itself. Don't need it, but for some reason I've always left them in there.

I got rid of mine a couple months ago. It fell out once or twice, so I took a look and determined it served no purpose, so I tossed it the next time it fell out.
