Something my son told me about 7 or 8 year ago, "McDonald's. You can taste the apathy."

That's the best! I'm totally steeling your quote.

And I'll add this one to your arsenal, from my SIL:

"I'm so hungry, I could eat Arby's"

Sorry, if you don't know what Arby's is... Fast food roast beef sandwiches. But you can insert whatever sub-edible restaurant you like in the quote.

We have one right down the road from us. It's attached to a Love's truck stop out on the Interstate. You see them pretty regular around here I think. Nothing like McD's, but still enough to have a presence.

Truth be told, I kind of like Arby's...

Usually something quick like hot dogs, but I'm liking the ideas of eating out.

Problem is, I am usually 3 beers in by the time I'm done setup!

Arrival dinner is usually something quick like cold cuts, cheese, veggies and or fruit, maybe chips and bread. Really depends on how we are feeling if we carb up. Unless we are camping with our group and there is a planned meal on arrival night. Last weekend was burgers and dogs and everyone brought a dish to pass. Sometimes it is a local restaurant. It really depends on where we are going and who we are going with. Lots of options out there. if we are really good, s'mores will come out at the campfire...

Another vote for take-out, usually fried chicken. DW picks it up on her way home and puts it in a cooler bag. I don't get home until later, and then it's rush rush rush getting everything hooked up and on the road. Warm it up in the microwave and it's not too bad.
