Awning care!

On our last trip we set everything up and the last thing we did was put the awning out. Once it was out about three feet it started to jerk a bit as if it needed to be lubricated. I checked all the pivot points and the rollers in the tracks, everything is dry. It is a Jayfeather X17Z what should I use to lube everything? I want to make sure I don't damage any surfaces or finishes.

I use silicone spray. About every other time I put the awning out....probably overkill but the spray is cheap!

I was leaning towards silicone spray but thought I would ask. I treat all the rubber weather stripping on our vehicles with it and it seamed to work at liberating as well.

On each end cap there is a little hole. I spray in there to get some lube on my springs, which is the main source of friction when raising and lowering it. Also the arms which attach to the bottom of your trailer, they are critical for lube.
