Awning Screen Room - who has added them

We bought ours from the dealership, for a pretty penny I might add. Just wondering if they are worth the extra $$ I spent

I made a post about this earlier and included a youtube video to show you which one we purchased..it might have been marked as spam. Not sure

I had one on a pop up and used it once. It gathered a ton of flys and my DW never wanted to use it again. It was a pain to set up as well.

Reason I thought it would be a good add is the fact we had to go with the 17Z vs. a larger trailer that we couldn't pull. Sort of gain a room so to speak. The carefree room seems easy easy to set up. We shall see though

The other aspect is that if a strong storm is coming in, you'll have to take it down to protect your awning from getting damaged.

Hope you find it works for your family.

Best regards,
Doug

We setup a lightweight screen room over the picnic table....but we keep it zipped at all times (even when eating)...the minute you leave it open - a half dozen winged creatures find their way in....I could see where a screen room is little more than a fly waiting room for the TT

I thought about one until I saw the price. We used to do the screen house over the picnic table but zip, un zip, zip unzip, zip unzip just got to be a pain. We just use one of those canopies now.

We had one with our first popup -- it was a promotion, so you got one free with a popup purchase. IMO, it was heavy, cumbersome and we used it only once. Saying that, it is only the two of us camping so we didn't need the extra room. The screen room is probably worth it as extra room for the kids (especially during a rainstorm).
