Bike rack

We searched this forum for recommendations to carry our 2 bikes on our 19H and wanted to report our success with the Bike Bunk. Got ours at the best price and fast shipping from etrailer.com. We also purchased a basic swagman bike rack from the same place. We have a cap on our F150 and were concerned about tight corners so also added a hitch extension. It worked beautifully and we have traveled 500 miles so far with no problems. We will have to remove the Bike Bunk's cross bar when we take down the bikes and rack so the camper bed can clear it, but that is just a matter of a few bolts. We love having the room in the bed of the truck. Thanks to the forum for a great suggestion!

Hey Chapter2- I've been considering a setup like yours but am concerned about the bikes moving around, seeing how its cantilevered out. You had any problems with them bouncing around a lot while driving? Thanks.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Hi Havnfun - no problems with bouncing but think it has more to do with the bike rack than Bike Bunk. This swagman xc2 has adjustable hooks on top that hold bikes very snugly and adjustable holders for the bike wheels to keep them in place. Etrailer.com has a video review showing a similar model on the road (on back of a car) and you can see how little movement there is.
