Bringing bikes in a X19H without a bike rack

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about taking bikes with a hybrid. We used to have a Fleetwood pup with a bike rack on top, so I'm not sure how others bring their bikes with them. I was told people put them in their camper, but how do you keep them from moving around. I read that one person puts down their table then wraps their bikes in a blanket and put them on top of the table bed. Any other suggestions? We will be taking our maiden voyage soon to the Outer Banks.

Thanks

If money is not a huge concern then, from what I have seen, the best solution is to mount them on the roof of the truck on a roof rack system. I have not done this myself but there was a thread over on RV.net fairly recently about this and some people used this approach.

Others take the bikes in the trailer itself but as you noted, moving around can be a challenge. Even read where someone made a rudimentary rack so that he could take the front wheel off and bolt it on keeping the bikes upright. If you have the space and the CCC then this might be a cheaper solution.

I lay mine on the floor over an old blanket inside the camper and they don't move an inch.
