bumper end caps?

does anyone else have a problem with the bumper end caps almost falling off after every trip? even short 50 mile trips they are almost ready to fall off. im waiting to get somewhere and see a cap and my sewer hose gone lol

I've never had the problem but have seen others that have. Some folks will drill a small hole in the top and bottom of the bumper and cap, and slide a bolt down through to keep the cap from backing off. I'm sure you'll get other ideas here too.

I drilled a hole thru the rubber top and bottom and slip a short piece of coat hanger in it.

I finally lost one after 2 years. We were coming back from a trip last week and I noticed my sewer hose was starting to come out a bit. 5 minutes later, it was dragging on the ground.

I used a ty-rap through the existing bumper hole and end cap hole. Works great and I can still open the cap if needed (which it's not).

I've used these on my last trailer, and they worked well.

WirthCo 30000 Black RV Locking Bumper Plug

You install these caps like your normal caps, but you then push in the center to cause them to lock in place (levering the inserted portion against the inside of the bumper). I can't really comment on their long term durability since the longest we've gone with a set of them is about two years, but they worked well with no sign of loss of function or imminent failure while we had them.
