bunk end covers

Just thought I'd stop back here on the Hyprd page

If you are looking for covers for the bunks while camping I will post the link at the end. Some of the benefits are it really helps darken the trailer by covering the beds. Found out the kids would actually sleep longer in the morning. It also helped keep the trailer cooler in the summer by facing the silver side up and reflecting the sun. In cooler weather we flipped them over and had the silver side down which helped keep the heat in the trailer. It also seemed to reduce the amount of condensation over the bunks. Check this company out, they have the covers custom sized for individual trailer models. They have sets for almost every trailer and can't post all of the sizes on line. Just thought I'd pass on my expierence!! happy camping

I recommend the strong wind option

I agree

The covers were a great investment. They really helped keep the heat down in the summer. the only thing I think could immprove is to replace the clips with velcro, but but that might affect them staying on in bad weather.

We are considering purchasing these covers. But we have a few questions. Do they work? How do they attach? The regular one look like they attach with clamps but how do the high wind ones attach?

The super high wind series are held on with 5 bungees.

The company president is a friend of mine. He makes a great product and backs up what he sells. I highly recommend his products.

No, you can take them off when you are done and wash them off with water hose. It really helps keep your bunk end clean too. I attached mine to the wood on the inside where the tent material is fastened using velcro so they would stay in place ready to bungee on when I brought the end down.

The only time I take my covers off is to clean them. I had PUG (Pop Up Gizmos) sew Velcro (the soft side) onto the end of the covers that attach to the trailer. I installed sticky back "rough" Velcro onto the inside of the "lip" that goes around the upper part of the bunkend opening. I unhook the bungee's and fold the sides of the cover in toward the center of the bunkend and then close the bunkend. I have been doing this for over 2 years and no problems so far. Also a lot less work when setting up the trailer.

Not permanently attached, but I only take the covers off to clean them. Here are some pics of the Velcro and how I close the bunkend. In the second photo I pulled the black Velcro that is attached to the PUGs (Pop Up Gizmos) away from the white Velcro that I attached to the camper, just behind the black rubber gasket.

Thanks for posting this. I was just looking at them online and was thinking how would I attach them to my 2011 23B. I think these are a great idea even just to keep the ends clean from tree droppings etc.

Your welcome. They do keep the bunkends clean. They also keep the bunkend from forming condensation in the colder weather, and keep the bunkends cooler in the summer.
