Bunk end sunshades

What do people use to block the sun in their bunk ends?
Getting in around 2:30AM after going to the Drive-in, the sun lighting up the bunk end at 5:30 was not pleasant.

Reflectix from your local Big-Box store might work. I made storage shades with it for out previous HTT. Stick-on Velcro squares to mount.

LOL, I just roll over. I bet Puggs would work nicely.

I use heavy duty space blankets - reflective on on side - When it's hot put the reflective side up, cold put it toward the inside, and leave the blue covering the top. Hold them down heavy duty black spring clips you get at the office store. Inexpensive and easy to put up. $17 each, you need 3 of them. A company called Grabber makes them. Over lap two on the front bunk tent. I have been in bad winds and have never had one come flying off.

We used the popupgizmos.com on our hybrid. Worked great for keeping out light and heat but a bit of a pain to take on and off.

We use the popupgizmo on the tops of the bunk ends. In each of the 6 zipper windows we simply put the cheap folding foil sunshades that you buy for your car windshield. We got the large size at Wal-Mart for $8 each. You just fold it out as far as you need to fill the space between the fabric and the screen and then zip it closed to hold it in place. It makes a huge difference in helping the unit stay cool all day and darker in the mornings. We're camping at music festivals in Texas so we're up very late and like to sleep in well past sunrise. This combination works great for us.

I use the popup gizmo's - they work great. Took a forum member's advice and had velcro strip sewed in mine and went to Home Depot to get velcro strips to mount on the HTT.

That's an interesting idea. I don't really have much problem with the little clips that came with the base model right now, but I'll definitely look into some velcro. How would you put the velcro on the tent side without sewing it?

I bought the gizmo's even before my first trip, so I don't know what it's like without them.

That's the thing - I saw the comment made the day I ordered the gizmos. They sewed in in the day I ordered them. They only charged an extra $10 for all three of my bunks.

My question was regarding the tent side, not the gizmo side. What are you velcro'ing to?
