Who's post are you referring to? Please note the last response with actual information regarding the issue was nearly 1 1/2 years ago. One of the members who posted links hasn't been active here since sometime in 2015.

I was referring to the posts from ladywendolyn and jwrigley. They both had posts that either had a link or pictures listed in their posts. Thanks, DocBrown!

Leak hinge seal on front bunk

Hello, I have a Jayco Jayfather 19H 2008. When i drive with heavy rain, water entered through the front hinge on the under bunk door. Does anyone have the part numbers of the seals for FWD bunk door c/t hinge?

Try contact Jayco Customer Service or call a dealer, but I don't believe you can order seals specific to the trailer. If they have it, it will be in bulk. You could check auto parts suppliers. They sell various seals for automotive use in bulk.

This place looks interesting:

Once you get it replaced make sure to treat it twice a year with a protectant of some sort. This is our second hybrid, the first we had for 10 year. Neither has any signs of the seals drying out.

What would you recommend to protect it with?

Just Google "rubber protectant". 303 is a popular brand.

I have a leak in the hinge/seal of the front bunk.

Can you elaborate on what you did to repair yours?
Thanks,
Jim Duggan

I bought some rubber door seal at Lowe's, about 1/2 inch wide by 1/4 inch thick. I left the old seal in place and added this seal on the edge of it. I also replace the pads under the locking latches. I actually used sample floor pads examples from Lowe's. They gave me them for free. By replacing the pads it made a tighter seal.

The camper is in storage or I would send you pictures. If you need more info I maybe able to go the storage and take pics.

Good Luck

Many Thanks

Very much appreciate your reply.

Pictures would be great but there is no hurry at all. Sometime in the spring would be OK!
