Checking for pin holes

What is the best way to check for pin holes in tent material? Use a flashlight, run water over it? We are driving today 400 miles to see and possibly purchase a 2010 x17c. Thanks to everyone here I have made a list of things to check for: ac bolted, wheels bolted, spare tire?, hose placement, etc. We are 99% sure this is the one for us. Thanks for a great resource.

Seems like holding up a light to the canvas is the best way to find pinholes but maybe someone here with more experience with hybrids will chime in.

We found one in our new 23j just by laying on the bunk during the day. Sunlight shows them quite well. Did not have to use any tricks.

We found one too. Did you fix it or have the dealer fix it.

We have so many in our front bed under the pole. We did not discover these until after we brought it home I searched on this forum and found out how to fix them. Like previous mentioned you don't need any tricks you will see them in the sunlight. If the bed ends are opened move the pole to check underneath

We only found one very tiny one, we have not tried to fix it, thought we would just keep an eye on it, some things are best left alone ( ummmm hoping this is one of those).
