Cold bunks??

I just bought a Jayco Kiwi 23b for the deer lease. I was wondering if the bottom of the pop out bunk gets really cold? Do I need to put insulating board under the mattress or will something else do? Or, am I overthinking it?

I have heard of people putting the foil lined foam sheets under the mattress.

My only concern would be moisture.

I have a X19H and I find I can feel the cold air from the ground below. So far I have just put a thick comforter on top of mattress and sleep on top of that.

If you have adequate power, I've heard of folks using a heated mattress pad.

When it's cool, we have an electric site. An electric matress pad heater is great, often I get to warm with it.

I do find even in the summer I find, the matress to be cold. I put a fleece blanket under the sheet, and then I'm fine.
