Converter fan runs with nothing turned on

Just hooked up and pulled the camper up to the house to load up for this weekend. I plugged it in to shore power and walked in. I immediately heard the fan running on the converter. No lights on. Fridge wasn't on. H2O heater was off. Nothing was on. I had not noticed it doing that before.
We boondocked last weekend. Could it be charging the battery and therefor causing the fan to run?

Thanks

Sure. If your batteries were somewhat discharged, the converter can decide to charge them at a higher rate and this can cause the fan to come on.

If it comes on and cuts off shortly thereafter - that can be normal, too. My WFCO does a self-test when it's powered on.

Thanks guys. As of 9:00 last night it was still running. This morning it wasn't. I am going to assume it was charging the battery. I learned a lot in the restoration of our old 1972. But it did not have a converter! This is a new animal for me. I have learned a good bit by reading about them on here! Thanks again!
