Could be the dumbest question of all!

When you talk about "shore power", what are you talking about?

Is it dry camping without any hook-ups?

The term Shore Power comes from the boating world. Is talking about the power connection (using your heavy power cord) between your RV and the facilities power grid (ie CG electrical post, an outlet in your back yard, so forth).

The answer to your second question is "yes".... you may also hear the term "boondocking". True boondocking is wilderness camping without hook-ups, neighbors or ready access to amenities. You always dry camp when you boondock, but you don't always boondock when you dry camp.
