Dead Battery

First time camping with the brand new jay feather x17z . As many of you know at your"demo" they give you the quick look ! We are not newbies to camping but, newbies to this camper . We were plugged in all weekend and, were plugged in a couple days prior for the refrigerator . When we were unhooking our power hitch was dead we had to reattach to the truck to unhook . Why is the battery dead already ??

Are you sure that the battery is dead? Check the battery for voltage you may have a fuse or ground wire problem.

Most grounds on RV's are poor from the factory to begin with. I redo them all with cleaning the chassis point and use copper grease and install a stainless steel 6 mm bolt.

I'll bet you the fuse on the main wire coming off the battery is popped. If you run the jack past it's full up or full down stops, it blows the fuse.

If that's the case, just be more careful with the jack, and alternatively, replace the fuse with an auto-resetting 30a breaker. My jack has a red tape line on the pole that shows you where to stop retracting it.

I'm in the same boat as you. Picked up our new 2016 X213, turned on the fridge, went camping with power hook-up and came home to a dead battery. I had everything turned off in the camper on the way home so am really unsure what's going on. I'll let you know what I figure out.
