do you travel with butane on? Jayfeather x19h
I'm off to Alaska! With stops in the Yukon and maybe up the Dempster Hwy in Northwest territories, at least a little way.
Long stretches of driving might melt the gel packs I have used to keep the fridge cool during travel on shorter trips last fall and this spring. (Fridge is Norcold N61X, runs on butane or ac electricity, not 12-volt, in 2014 Jayfeather).
Last night over the margeritas, two different families, who tow a different brand of trailer, said they routinely drive with the butane turned on. They turn it off before they pull into a gas station because there is the exposed flame. Apparently lots of folks travel with the butane on, and maybe I've been silly.
Do other people travel with the butane on?
Thanks
Carol
