Fans For x17z

In my research I saw that some campers have a headphone jack like input in the bunks where they can plug a special fan in for power and hang the fan from the top arm of the bunk. Does the 2012 model have those jacks?

My 2010 17Z did not have them, but my dealer installed them for me. There are pictures on my webshots album, and I posted them here in another thread.

My x23f has them. We ordered it in February. I know some if the older 12's did not have that feature. When we were doing the PDI I asked why they were back and they said that Jayco added them and a sky light in the bath, along with a few other improvements. So I guess to answer your question... It depends on when the '12 was built.

My 2012 X17Z that I received in mid-April has them. I didn't order the fans, though. The connectors just came installed as a stock item.

Ours was built 8/12 and I don't seem to see them. Where would they be located?

Our trailer is the same vintage and I'd love to have these fans. Where are the jacks? I've never noticed on ours....

I had the dealer install the jacks in my 2010.

They are located on the ceiling just in-board of the beds, near where the shepherds pole snaps into the ceiling.

My fan like you are describing also has a built-in lamp. Pretty handy item to have. Of course if you need a real good ac/dc fan go look at the O2-COOL fans at WALMART. I got two of the 10-inch models and they are really great to have around the POPUPs.

Sometime we use a low profile oil-filled electric heater in our POPPUP as the furnace and blower are just either way to much heat, too noisy, or draw to much current from the batteries. We would rather use the sites 20A service on the same 30A pole to run our oil-filled electric heaters and not use up our furnace propane. If we need to move some air around more we sit the O2-COOL fan behind the oil filled heaters and it work great. The oil-filled heaters is very safe for the POPUP as there is NO VISIBLE flame, no burned air smell, no noise and to me is the safest type electric heater you could use in a POPUP or any other trailer where there are kids and animals.
