Finally brought her home-ish!!!

We finally brought our 17Z home- well sorta...we are widening our driveway and I'm not skilled enough at backing into it as is...so she's at storage until that's done.

Anyways- a few questions:
1) does the 17Z have the ability to carry a spare tire?
2) in the manual, it says to season the bunkheads- has anyone done/not done this, any opinions on this?
3) did any of you get a lock for the hitch on the trailer? If so, what do you recommend?
4) what are your favorite/must-have tools/accessories (i.e. bungee cords/flash lights, etc)

Congrats on your new camper
To make backing easier put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel in the middle and what ever direction your hand goes left or right the camper will go the same direction and just back slowly it's not a race and if you need to adjust just straighten the wheel and pull forward a little bit. After a few try's you will be a pro, my wife can out back most guys at the boat ramp it just takes practice and knowing your trailer.

3. With the way our hitch was I could never get the lock to set correctly so I just got a cable and locked the dual wheels on our camper together, if someone's going to steal it no lock is going to stop them

I used one of these on my old TT and still use one on my wave runner.

Jmooney- I've seen these locks, do they lock onto the stinger (I think that's what it's called) that is attached to the tow vehicle? or to the coupler on the trailer? I'm assuming the first one...Thanks

Congratulations on the new 17Z. I did season the tent ends. It was very simple to do. Just a little light water spray a few times.

I believe a spare tire is standard. It should be under the tongue under the propane tank (s).

I have a tongue lock, a different style. I looked for one that looked very difficult to cut mangle or any thing else. Now days with cordless tools it is really easy to walk up and start cutting.

As for tools, check your lug nut size and make sure you have the correct tools to change a tire. Do not assume what is in your TV will work to jack it up and fit the lugnuts. Also a #2 square drive screw drive. Then a bunch of spare fuses, you will blow 2 or 3 trouble shutting.
