First Trip Complete - Success!!!

First trip out with the 2012 x20e and the trip couldnt have gone better. First the bad news...yes...gas mileage wow! BUT - My V6 2004 Honda Pilot did an incredible job on the trip. Only and hour trip each way with some grades, but my rpm's never reached 3500 rpm and the tranny never hunted once. 55-60 the whole way. Honestly, this rig feels better behind the pilot than my old jayco popup ever did probably bc I have the proper equipment(wdh, sway, etc.). Plus a question - Is it just me or do the new ultra lite hybrids sit lower than older hybrid campers? I ask bc I saw an older Kiwi go by at the campground and boy did it look like it was twice as tall as my rig. My x20e only has one step to get in the rig while that 23'kiwi needed 3. AM I seeing things? What a fun, relaxing first trip.

our 2012 SLX 184 is 6 inches lower and 1 ft. narrower than most, that helps get the weight down, and the shorter units will fit in a standard garage. glad u had a great trip happy camping!

Congrats on your new X20E! We just purchased the same model and are loving it after two camping trips so far this year. We're looking forward to taking it out again each of the next two weekends.

I have also been surprised by how nicely it pulls considering its size/weight as compared to our pop-up. The WDH, sway bar and trailer brakes are great to have.
