First trip out

We spent our first weekend in our 25G in a state park in Northern IL. Still a bit cold at night so we turtled. Such a huge upgrade from our old pop-up. I think we're really going to like this thing.

the campground was nearly empty so we had the place mostly to ourselves. External wood was restricted due to the ash borer beetle, so we had to buy firewood there - not a huge deal, but still doubled the cost of staying there.

One mishap: I lowered a stabilizer arm and then continued to level and lowered the tongue some more. the arm doesn't handle weight and the metal ears in the front bolt snapped off.

Lesson learned, they are stabilizer arms not leveling arms and they go down last. Have to see if I can just get a new part or if I need a whole new arm

Made our list of 'should have brought..." stuff so next time will be even better.

TV is 2003 GMC Yukon 5.3L with Reese dual cam WD hitch and prodigy p2 brake controller. Truck is rated at 7400 lbs towing. we had plenty of power and it pulled straight despite some pretty high winds on Sun.

Maiden Voyage

We made our first outing the 2nd weekend of April. Nighttime was about 38deg, but daytime highs were in the low 60's. We camped at a State Park for 3 nights about 15 miles from home. We also made the list of "should have" for next time. Really enjoyed our new Jayco Hybrid and are planning our next outing in 2 weeks with any luck.
