First trip out for the year!

We went out camping last week! First trip out for the year . The wind was something else though. The drive home (head wind) the HTT really felt squirrely behind me. I actually dropped my speed down from 60 mph to 55 mph on the freeway (posted 70 mph). After that she felt pretty good. I do not think I have had pulled this HTT in a headwind out in the open farm country last year. The Equalizer brand bars had been really good up to this point. The funny thing was I had a little Mercedes sports car fly by that made her go a little squirrely. I hope it was the wind angle. The cargo was about the same as normal, just less food in the pantry as we normally keep in it.

The only other thing I noticed is my break controller may not be functioning properly. When I depress the brake pedal I do not feel the TT helping me stop. I press the manual button thou, the brakes engage. I guess it is time to find the owner’s manual and see if the setup got messed up over the winter.

Happy Camping!

My brakes felt a little soft after long storage as well. They improved over time. The Tekonsha variable LED was telling me the proper amperage was being transmitted. Glad you got out

The winds seem like they.ve been wild all across the country.
The last 7 days on the coast was consistently 25mph. Just not fun. Everything not bolted down blows away.

Off the coast today over near Sequoia. Here for the weekend and then Yosemite NP.

Glad you made it out and home safely.

Hopefully the weather will get nice soon.

Best regards,
Doug
