Happy with my 23B

We went to the dealer last night to pick up our girl from storage. On the way, I said to my husband - they'd better not have a 23F, because if they do, I'm going to go in. And if I go in, I'm going to love it. And if I love it, we're going to have to swap for it. (Anyone who is familiar with the children's book "If you give a mouse a cookie"?)

So of course they had one. And of course I went in, and of course I loved it. But ultimately, you just can't beat the counter space and cupboards in the 23B. My daughters would have loved not sharing a bunk and I would love not climbing over the dinette to get into bed. But I value that counter by the stove and all of the cupboard space/pantry way too much.

In the end, I'm glad I got to check it out, because otherwise I'd always be wishing for a triple bunk. Now I know that there's no place like home, in my 23B.

I agree. We thought about it as well, but the space in the 23B is so nice. We have two boys, so sharing a bed is not a big deal. When they get older and want to sleep apart, they can fight over the bed and the couch!

I figure when mine get old enough to have an issue with space, they can pitch a tent outside!

The counterspace and storage in the cupboards was also a main selling point with my wife as well!

We looked at the X20E, the little brother to the X23B and had told the dealer we wanted the X20E. But when we got home, my wife says she prefers the X23B because of the extra counter top.

And I'm sure as you/we all know...... "If Momma aint happy, aint nobody happy!!"

We do love having all that counter space, and storage. I don’t think there are too many other TTs out there with that much counter space.

I'm toying with the idea of making a new countertop for my 2006 23B. The '06 countertop stops just left of the cooktop and then drops down about 4" to a lower surface that you could set a TV on. I would make one that goes over the lower surface to make a large work area left of the stove. Plus the factory countertop is so stinkin' cheap.

I was glad that the 2012 had that full length, one height counter top.
