Has anyone installed a light near the outdoor shower?
Sometimes at night we need to use the outdoor shower, and it's too dark to really see sometimes.
So, I was thinking about installing a porch light over on that side of the camper.
Has anyone ever done that?
How would you drill through the outside wall without screwing it up?

I have not done this, but if I did this is how I would approach it.
I would look under the sink and approximate where the shower is supplied from inside water lines.
I would make sure I could pick up a 12V supply from the water pump area.
I would drill a hole, assuming the center of the porch light.
I think the porch lights probably has the connection on the back side and then they screw to side of camper.
I would put plumbers putty around hole before screwing light to side.
I assume the porch light has a seal around the edge.
If you look at the inside of storage doors etc, their holes look to be done with a jig saw and not real precise.
You should be able to do a better job will little to no risk.

I like the idea. Perhaps a battery operated LED light that you could just stick above the outside shower. I was looking through amazon recently and saw shower heads that have built in LED lites. No batteries required. The water actually turns the lights on. Only around $12. I thought they were pretty cool. Don't know just how much light they give off though.

We never really used the outside shower when it is dark. But since we have a shower tent, I'd probably just get an inexpensive battery operated LED light to hang from the top center of the shower tent.

The problem you might have with that approach is fitting the new shower head in the outdoor shower enclosure when it's closed. It's a real tight fit just with the stock shower.

chuckworkb-- I would drill in above the fridge vent door,as high as you can get, pickup 12V power there and mount a light again as high as you can get. My old 1206 had a step light with a weather proof rocker switch, just swap the yellow lense for a clear one and your good to go. Just an idea. Larry

My concern would be shadows !!
Might better have someone check with a flashlight first.
*edited to add-- if a shower tent is used*

FYI Lights inside tents make shadows.
