Heated Mattress Pads

I was wondering if Jayco sells the heated mattress pads individually or do you have to order them with your new trailer? If so , how much are they and where can I get them?

I am sure they do, but you will pay dearly for them. We bought ours from this website: http://cozywinters.com/heated-mattress-pads.html

We are using the low voltage, waterproof ones.

Re: Heated Mattress Pads

We're doing our first trip with ours. Just bought from Amazon. We're only using them with power so no low voltage model but they work great. Makes a huge difference and cuts back on the heat used in the night.

X2, I am sure you can buy them from Jayco. We bought a set of queen size mattress pads from a local store. They work great and the price was right.

We have Sunbeam mattress heater pads on all our beds at home. The queen & king sizes have 2 individual controlers so we each get the temps we like individually. For our TT we have a Sunbeam queen size heated blanket the is very soft to the touch like fur - this also has individual controls. Bought them from Costco.

Start our first trip in approx 2 weeks and our new to us has the heated pads and I think we'll need them on the west coast. Hope my new Touareg TDI pulls like the name we gave it ( The Mule).

I guess my question is : are the Jayco heated mattress pads the same thing as the store bought mattress pads but just fitted for the TT mattresses?

No they are not, they are much thicker, but can't be folded or washed. You really are much better off buying any of those listed above, the queen size fit fairly well.

We have used several queen heated mattress pads. They adjust to any size queen mattress nicely.

Do the heated mattress pads go on top of the mattresses that came with the camper? Or do they replace them all together?

They go over an existing mattress like a fitted sheet. Then you put your bottom sheet over the pad. Be very careful because it makes it very hard to climb oit of your warm bed on a frosty morning and turn on the heater....lol

We have them, ordered them with the trailer. I would not be without them, they work great for early spring/late fall camping.

I ordered 2 mattress pads from Sears online. They are Sunbeam Quilted Heated Mattress Pad
$44.88 each. I also found an online coupon code for an extra 10% off.

Why would you have a nice trailer like you do but leave the heat off? What am I missing?

I don't keep my thermostat 'high', but I keep it around 60-65ish. To me part of the joy of having a travel trailer is having the comforts of home. Getting up cold sounds like something I'd do in a tent. ???

I think it's more to do with propane use. I will use the CG's electricity and a space heater to knock the chill off

With the Sunbeam heated blanket is the bed preheat setting. Nothing like climbing into a toasty warm bed on a chilly evening.

X2 maybe X3 on that one.Next week we start the Oregon coast for approx.3-4 weeks. Astoria to Brookings and as you know it's never rainy or cold in Oct or Nov.Ha Ha Ha Ha! Being toasty warm when the rain is falling on your tent fold-outs is like heaven on earth to us.

Wow, you'll have a great time. Be sure to eat at Mo's. There are several along the coast. I also highly recommend you explore Seaside. I'll be for a week later this month. Depot bay is excellent for whale watching with a warm cup of coffee. Be sure to post some pics of your camper along the way.
