Holding tank strap broke...suggestions?

Hi. I had a holding tank strap break (the second time it's happened). Has anyone fixed this themselves and have a better idea than the metal straps that seem to just snap off for no reason? Thanks. Brian

BTW: warranty work takes 4-6 weeks, wh/ doesn't seem worth it. and I am traveling with the holding tanks empty so that is not the problem, it's bad design.

The tank flexes when full and when running down the road with a partial tank it could break the strap.

If you replace it, leave a little slack or add more than a few.

Kinda surprised to see the straps break. I thought the tanks were held in mainly by slots on the side of the tanks. Maybe the flexing generated by a full tank is enough to break them. Like Norty said, maybe leave a little slack in the strap to make room for tank bottom flexing.

Yes, there was slack in the straps, and "is slack" on the ones still holding. So that isn't the problem. I am thinking I need something beside metal that won't just snap off from bending and flexing back and forth....just don't know what to use. As I said this is the second time so to me it's poor design and cheap material.

I travel with them empty and there is slack in them, inches of slack.

If the tanks are empty I can't really comprehend why they would flex the straps especially if the straps have slack in them. Sorry, I don't get it.
