Two gallons should cover you with some to spare provided you use the water heater bypass valves.

I used to work at a RV dealer in the parts dept. The service techs always came to me when they needed pink juice for winterizing a trailer. 2 jugs is about what they were able to get the job done with.

But keep in mind, using too much pink stuff is far better than using too little.
Don't forget the city water connection water line or the 'P' traps under the sinks and tub.

With that in mind, I usually use 3 or 4 jugs. A gallon of pink juice is a lot cheaper than fixing a split pipe in the spring.

I blow the lines first and then, use about one gallon. But I buy two incase I forget to close a valve or some other opps.

I also add a little mineral oil down the traps and in the toilet when all done, to float on top of the pink stuff, to keep it from evaporating over the next few month.

Bypassing the hot water heater, I found one gallon of pink stuff to be sufficient, though I usually have 2 on hand just in case.

I did my 19H with one gallon and some to spare for the drains.

With my 28', it took me 2 gallons.

I use at least 2 gallons because I also put some in the P-traps (as mentioned), toilet, black tank flush line, and a little in each tank hoping it dilutes any water that may be resting against the dump valves.

I blow the lines and use close to 2 gallons. On our old Kiwi 17a I used just over 1 gal.

I drain everything and then blow out the water lines with an air compressor set at 20 psi. I use about a 1/2 gallon of RV antifreeze in the drains (traps) of the sinks and shower stall and I poor the rest of the gallon into the black tank. Next Spring I don't have to de-winterize at all. I fill the fresh water tank with water and some lemon juice and I'm ready to go. No muss, no fuss.

And I didn't see it mentioned, but to state the obvious, when you bypass the water heater, drain the water heater so it doesn't freeze up and crack.

It's one of those things like when something electrical isn't working and you ask, "Is it plugged in?". But sometimes the obvious things are the easiest to forget.

Oh, and when I used to winterize, I just blew the airlines out, and poured a gallon into the drain traps and the grey/black tanks to protect the valves.

I just bought an Eagle 338 rlts with the Climate Shield. We leave our camper plugged in all the time and run two small electric space heaters at about 50 degrees. We live NE of Atlanta. The RV dealer told us that as long as we run an electric heater that we didn't need to winterize. I winterize anyway. Any comments about not winterizing. I realize the power could go off... Oh, I bought the old style heaters with manual dials as the new electronic controls have to be reset when the power goes off whereas the old style just keeps working when the power comes back on.

For my x23b I used 2 gallons I had bought four but two was plenty. I ran the cold water until i see pink and then a bit more for the drain. Then move the faucet over to the other drain run hot water side till see pink a then a bit more for the p trap. End up doing that for all the water lines even the toilet. Also bypass water heater and make sure not to get pink in it. Drain the water heater there mybe some water left In it but according to my manual for mine it says that is ok. Also then make sure there is no water in the lines between the water heater and the bypass. Also I pulled the screw out where the fresh water hose hook up is and push in the check so pink stuff came out there as well. Good luck

That's exactly what I do. Except I waste a little more. Usually around 4 gallons. I don't need it but I like to apply it liberally. For about $4 bucks per gallon, its cheap piece of mind for me to use a ton of it.

I was thinking of putting Crown Royal (it has a very low freezing point) in my lines this winter. Come spring, invite a few friends over with their mixer of choice and turn on the faucets for Crown Royal on tap. Think it will work?
