HTT Stair Loud when Traveling

I had my windows down pulling my rig the other day and every bump I hit the stair on my x23B would bounce and make a really loud noise, like the rig was falling apart. I guess I'm going to rig something that clamps the "flip-out" stair to the bracket so it's not so loud. I'm surprised that Jayco doesn't have a built in latch that keeps the stair from bouncing around. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas on how to make a homemade latch?

Mine is nice and quiet when travelling. Try an elastic bungee cord.

Make sure when retracting the step that the step bracket "snaps" into place. Push up until you feel a solid stop.

X2

Doesn't seem like it is seated properly in the hinge drop.

JMHO.

Great feedback...I'll check to make sure that it's snapped in...I'm sure that's the problem.

Well, there is no way to lock in the stair. When it flips in...it's just resting in there and can bounce around. There is no locking mechanism. Bungee cord it is...

Given its a brand new unit, I would take it back to the dealer at some point and have them fix it, you shouldn't need to use a bungee cord on a 2014.
