Jayco X213 owners: Question

I am pretty sure this will be our next RV, but I wanted to know the length of the TT with the bed IN. Not out. Jayco's website says the length is 24', but I don't know if that's opened or closed.
Please let me know the length of yours. My driveway is 21.5 feet and I'd love it if it fit in my driveway.

yes, that is not the length with the slide out. Also be aware that it is a very tongue heavy trailer. We love ours. I expect we will keep it until it falls apart, hopefully 20 or so years down the road.

What kind of tongue weight are you seeing? I'm interested in one and the tongue weight is what concerns me the most.

With full propane tanks and two batteries and most of our stuff loaded, around 750lbs.

I have to admit I have visions of laying in bed and having the trailer tip back... all that weight in the back.

Why?

Not to hijack, but why are these so tongue heavy? I love the layout and idea of a slide going straight out the back but the tongue weight would give me pause as well. Did they just position the axles rearward to compensate for the slide in back?

That sounds about right. I have a Husky Centerline TS hitch with 600-800 bars and that does the job nicely. We also leave home with full fresh water tank. Because of the location right over the axles, it doesn't seem to have much effect on the tongue weight.

That would be my guess. The slide adds a lot of weight behind the axles. That has to be compensated for to mitigate sway.

and to think... the weight limit on that King size bed is a little over 1,000 LBS.
