That sounds about right. I have a Husky Centerline TS hitch with 600-800 bars and that does the job nicely. We also leave home with full fresh water tank. Because of the location right over the axles, it doesn't seem to have much effect on the tongue weight.

That would be my guess. The slide adds a lot of weight behind the axles. That has to be compensated for to mitigate sway.
