Kiwi prices

Can anyone tell me why prices for the 2000 - 2003 kiwis are what they are? Last week a 2001 kiwi 23b was listed for $6,300 and sold for $6,500 and this week a 2000 kiwi 23b is listed at $6,800. I have found the kiwi 21c selling for $5,000 - $7,500. These prices are the same thru out the U.S. I have even called the dealers on some to check if these prices are correct. To me this seams high for the age of these hybrids. Just Wondering.

2001 23b kiwi

I just bought a 2001 23b for $1000. Other than small repairs that they had done over the years it only has one major repair needed and that is the canvas ends need to be replaced and the gas line from the tanks to the undercarriage was chewed on by some animal. Granted I got a great deal but it still needs about $1000 put into it to make it like new. The camper interior is in top condition and everything works. The owner wanted $1500 and I thought that was high for its age and cost of repairs needed. It also helped that I know the previous owner so I new what work had been done to it and he was not withholding on repairs needed.
All in all I don't understand why they are listed so high given the value depreciation over time. The owner I purchased from threw in some extras like the hitch and an RVQ grill but it was not enough to make me want to pay any extra. My suggestion is too keep looking there are deals out there and sometimes dealers will make good deals on ones they want off the lot that are in need of repairs before they do the work. Good luck

I sold my 2000 year 12" Dutchemen entry level pop up last year for $4300.00. I had people just about standing in line to buy it. I think any time you get in to the 4-6000 price range it fits the budget of the largest amout of people looking for a camper. That keeps the price up for all the middle age product.

It's a simple matter of economics. Items sell for certain prices because the market will support them. If 95% of car buyers refused to pay more than $15,000 for a car the automakers would have to meet that price point or go out of business. If they can ask $40k for a car and people are willing to pay that price then guess what they are going to build? Yup, $40k cars.
