Kiwi step replacement

I recently purchased a 2002 kiwi 17a. I want to replace the step. Of course when I went to remove the old one the bolts just spin. If I open the membrane under the camper, can i get a wrench on those bolts then reseal the membrane? Thanks.

Most likely the fasteners are carriage bolts put through from above. Are you considering replacing the floor covering in that area?

Kiwi step replacement

Another option is to soak the bolts good with penetrating oil, then use a impact on the fastener. Spinning the bolt at a high speed and with short burst has saved me many of hours. Hope this helps you.

Has a new wood floor which was installed before I purchased it. Don't think the air gun will work as they spin pretty freely, but, worth a try. I did soak the nuts with pc blaster.
Thinking about trying to cut through nuts with sawzall and knock them off.
Thanks.
