LED lamping conversion

I went to my Jayco dealer yesterday and asked if LED lamps can just be plugged into existing fixtures or if new fixtures are required to accommodate the LED lamps. At first she wasn't sure, then miraculously she was positive they were interchangeable. I figure SOMEONE on this site must know the answer and perhaps even have some suggestions.

Yes LEDs can be plugged into regular low voltage light fixtures, there are different LED bases available. I think someone was saying that some of the NEW Jayco fixtures have to be replaced as the LEDs are not replaceable? But I would not replace a LED bulb with a regular incandescent bulb, if that is what you mean.

I replaced all of the bulbs in my 2011 X17Z with no problem. There are two types of bulbs - cool white and warm white. I liked the warm white better.

If you have a newer (2014, 2015) Jayco TT you already have LED light bulbs except for the cook top light and outdoor light.

I also went with the warm white in our Starcraft 175RK. Bought the bulbs off Ebay, they came with three different adapter styles, 3M doublestick tape on the back.

thanks for sharing the scale. I am in the market for the warm light, not the godawful cadaverous blue light. those lamps are simply awful (so many people are using the "cool white" led Christmas light strings lately; it makes me sick just to look at them).
