mattress toppers

Well we got out over the weekend with our new to us 08 17C. What a nice HTT. Only two things I would like to do, add 2 more stabilizers and get some mattress toppers. Where and what kind of toppers is everybody buying and what works and what doesn't. Wife shops Wally World a lot so has anyone had good luck with any of they're products?

Costco store is where we got ours, but check their online as they have a seasonal one there. We DIDN'T cut it down so our bed is now a full queen, making it easier (and cheaper) to find/buy mattress pad and sheets (Amazon for both). As our floor plan has the entertainment center at the foot of the bed, the few extra inches of topper length nicely consumed that wasted space. Topper is also light/flexible enough to lift the bed storage. http://www.costco.com/Novaform%c2%ae...100032900.html

I believe that's what we're using and we love them

We bought the blue gel memory foam one at Costco. Very comfortable.

We bought the Costco topper for our first MH and ended up getting them for our home and two other MHs. Our kids even ended up getting the toppers for their homes cuz they're such a bonus.

I'm probably going to be the squeaky wheel here but in our last two trailers, we had toppers from Sams and Costco. Same topper was much more comfy to me... we returned the Costco one as we found it too soft. The fix was just to purchase a foam mattress and I've never looked back.

Spring mattresses are as dead as disco. Toppers are only band-aids. I can't wait to sleep the first night on my new foam mattress !! The prices have come down significantly and quality has gone up. I guess a topper is better than nothing though.

That solution works well for a fixed mattress, but the OP has a hybrid, which has foam mattresses that are split in the middle to be folded up with the bed board. With hybrids, if you need extra cushioning, toppers are the only good option.

Got a foam mattress, but also added a cool side/hot side topper from Sams club.
think the topper was about $98. When you are big and old, all the help you can get is needed!

I had a hybrid previous to my current camper and don't even recall that fact

Just a caution, if you have an under-bed storage, you don't want so much on top that it is a chore to lift the lid OR that might damage the hinge when opening.

Since comfortable sleep is very important and I have back problems I ordered the the Kamp-Rite self inflating camp mattress. Very comfortable 4" thick. They are somewhat pricey, but a good investment. My end bunks are queen. I found the large queen Kamp-Rite unmanageable in my hybrid. Hard to store and difficult to handle. I exchanged it for two singles (=queen size). These store easily on top of the rear bunk mattress. When we turtle and sleep on the dinette we use two Coleman (25" w. 2 1/2"thick) self inflating pads. We sleep quite well. Since storage is a premium using two single pads makes storage easier. The two Kamp-Rite pads can alternately store under the front part of the divan.

haven't even picked up my new 2015 hybrid yet( Monday) but Im planning the beds right now. My question is this can you add the topper from Costco and still fold the beds up in one piece? In other words you don't have "reinvent the bed" every time to drop it down?
Thanks in advance

Costco Mattress Toppers

I can't answer your question, but the Costco toppers are outstanding. We have them on each bed at home and also in the Jay Feather.

You will have to reinvent the bed.

This has me wondering.... Maybe because mine is a 2007? To put away our beds I was under the impression that I had to take the mattress completely off (I usually just toss on the floor by the kitchen cabinets). Is there a way to fold up the beds while leaving the mattress intact?

I fold up my bed ends with the mattresses on. Because the bed is split you just have one part on top of the other as you fold up the bed. You should have dealer show you when you pick up your camper.
