Maxx Air vent cover
Just installed a Maxx Air vent cover on my X19H. Anyone had experiences with leaving the vent open (with the Maxx Air installed of course) during heavy rain? Any leakage? Seems like a great product and the Jayco sure needs ventilation while parked but I'm uneasy about rain water getting in and causing damage. Thoughts??

I just installed one on my 27BHS. Was in 1 rain and no water got inside yet. I think it would have to blow pretty hard right at the rear vents to get any water to come in.

I leave both of mine open all winter while storing. I have the Maxx air vent covers that have the openings underneath to keep rain out even better.

On my previous trailer, I kept them open all winter long. No condensation on sunny days.

I've had one on my x23b for several years now and have left it open all summer with no issues. I live in the northeast and seeing we get a good amount of snow during the winter, I do close it before covering the camper.

You live in Tucson. With the Monsoons I would close them, to much wind and rain. Don't take the chance...

I put one on our 23B and it was open 24/7 for roughly 2 years. I don't recall any water getting past it. It was the original MaxxAir. When we sold it and got the 5er I installed the MaxxAir II and it has proven just as dry. However in hot, humid weather I now close the vent to avoid condensation on the ceiling where the ducted A/C channel runs.

Hey Azbirddog, thanks for the input. Wasn't considering our daily monsoons are different (more violent) than other states summer rains. I think you have a very good point.

We have one on our X23B since 2012, I don't think we have ever completely closed our vent. There have been no signs of moisture getting past it even while drive in pouring rain.

In April we were headed home after a week at Lake Mead. The first 2 hours was solid, non-stop monsoon rains. No water or moisture detected inside after getting out of that. We also have the standard model MaxxAir . The only time we close the vents is when we are running the A/C.

Never close our MaxxAir and have had no issues with leakage, even while driving. We live and travel in very windy areas.
