New 23b owner needs towing help

Hi

Just bought a used 2012 23b privately. The TT is still in winter storage and I need to pick it up in 4 weeks time. I am thinking of buying an Anderson "No Sway" weight distribution hitch, but have no idea on the size of hitch ball or frame brackets. The TT is 2 hours drive away, and could really do with some help on the dimensions of the ball and bracket. Can any one help me?

thanks

I have the Equalizer WD and love it! You will need a 2 5/16" ball.

The ball is a 2 5/16”, but the shank size is very large, somewhere around 1 ¼” -1 ½”. Mine is in storage, otherwise I would look.

I have a 23b as well and I had my dealer install an equalizer on the unit and my truck and do the adjustments. I have tweaked slightly. I love it.

Before you buy the Anderson hitch, do your homework, when I had my Forest River trailer I was active on their forum, there was initially a lot of hoopla about the Anderson, then after about a year or so, there became a lot of contraversy as people had used them for a while and the problems that began to surface.

I don't recall the exact complaints, just that they appeared to be consistent amongst complaints... just saying do your homework.
