Can't tell from your post what type or weight your TT is, but based on the fact that you used to tow with a ford ranger, I'm assuming it's pretty small , so with that assumption, your WDH is probably overkill, but it still provides good sway control.
You will not need as much forward lift from your WDH on the F150 frame. Adjust the torque so that all 4 points ( truck ft, truck rear, TT front, TT rear ) are generally level to one another.
